Startup Launch Pad

We get starting-up

Ignition… we aren’t launching a spaceship, but establishing the destination, trajectory, launch requirements and sequence are still critical to your mission. We have extensive experience in what we believe are a few key competencies required to take an invention to market successfully: strategic alignment of products to the market and customer needs, positioning, and sales and marketing calibration.

Our strategy engagement is aimed at employing your ideas (intellectual property) so they drive tangible value, both in building products that drive sales, and in establishing brand recognition and a competitive moat, in order to obtain financing and drive licensing and related revenue streams.

Our process

We have collective experience across technology startups at all stages from pre-revenue to $500M run rate, our sweet spot being those with breakthrough IP and technology ideas who need an experienced partner to build a cohesive strategy, narrative and plan.

No two clients require the same strategy. While we have a blueprint to identify your launch sequence, we work with your team to identify the priorities given time and resource constraints, so that it is viable and actionable. What that generally looks like is:

1.    Product, IP & people: synthesis of the value proposition of the product, the nature of the IP, and the human capital to develop the core product strategy

2.    Market & competitive: detailed analysis of market innovation and trajectory, combined with the product yields the overarching strategy

3.    Positioning & Narrative: perception is reality, as such we develop the story to take to market, to investors and stakeholders

4.    GTM: go-to-market is the tactical output that documents the plan of attack, how sales and marketing will jointly win customers

5.    IP Strategy: strategy as to how and when IP, including patents, trademarks and brand, will be developed and deployed to support the growth strategy and enhance the valuation

Our outcomes

1.    Cohesive strategy documentation: we synthesize all the strategic inputs and put a strategy in writing, an important tool for aligning everyone

2.    Storytelling tool: a narrative gets created so all employees can recite in lockstep, bolstering the chance of achieving the plan

3.    Revenue forecast & plan: sales and marketing playbook, with goals and milestones

4.    IP-supported strategic options: scenario planning for R&D investment, licensing, M&A and exit
